Breastfeeding: The Right of the Child and the Mother
Breastfeeding is both a child’s right and a mother’s right. Exclusive breastfeeding for newborns up to six months, and its continuation along with complementary foods, is essential for physical and mental growth, prevention of diseases, and strengthening the bond between mother and child.
The World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) emphasize that breastfeeding not only ensures the health and well-being of mothers and children, but also contributes to achieving sustainable development goals, requiring social, economic, and legal support.

Unprecedented Repression of Jews in Iran
Since early July 2025, a new wave of repression against Iran’s Jewish community has begun. Thirty-five Jewish citizens in Tehran, Shiraz, and Isfahan have been arrested or summoned without judicial rulings or formal charges. Their homes and workplaces have been searched, and detainees were transferred to unknown locations. Families and lawyers remain uninformed of their conditions.

Drought in Iran
Shadegan, Miankaleh, Bamdezh, Maharloo, and Shur have been severely affected by drought. Likewise, many rivers—including the Sefidrud and the Zayandehrud in Gilan and Isfahan provinces—have dried up or are on the verge of drying up.
Lake Urmia has also lost more than 70% of its water volume.
