October 5th-Commemorate of the International Teacher Day Audio and Video Clip
The purpose of announcing this day as International Teacher Day is to appreciating and thanking the teachers and surveying their problems. The UNESCO has recommended to the countries which are the members of this organization to provide the adequate condition at work and living for the teachers and to fostering hope and confidence among them. October 10th-World Day of Fight for the Abolition of the Death Penalty Audio and Video Clip
According to the statistic of international amnesty, death sentence is illegal in 106 countries (for example in USA; in 10 states is completely forbidden) and in 7 countries is legal only in special circumstances (for example at wars). In 29 countries it is part of the law but haven’t been carried out for more than 10 years and is not going to be done according to the formal policy of these countries. And in the rest (56 countries) is part of the constitution. It is a shame that death sentence is legal in Iran and it has been carried out in different forms and needless to say that Iran is on the top of this list. Continue reading
