Commemorate of the World Habitat Day-October 4th, a Glance to the Laws to Protect the Citizenship Rights (Audio and Video Clip)

The purpose of this day is to emphasize the importance of the cities condition and basic human rights for having a shelter and reminder of the world collective responsibility to provide the housing for the future generation. Every year a special theme is considered for this day. The importance of the urban public spaces and passages has made the United Nations to this year focus on the theme of public spaces for everyone. The paragraph one of the articles 25 in Universal Declaration of Human Rights emphasized that everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control. The purpose of naming the international Non-Violence day is to promote the peace culture, tolerance and understanding in regional organizations, non-governmental organizations and between the individuals.
Types of Violence: Social Violence, Psychological and Verbal Violence, Economic Violence, Physical Violence and Domestic Violence. According to the world ranking report which has done by Gallup Organization, due to the different types of violence which are happening in Iran, it’s at the fifth rank and is also in the list of worst performing countries in the terms of happiness. The torturing is one of the main Human Rights violation in Iran and article 5 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights clearly emphasized on that. Continue reading
