The Auction of Sea of Oman and Persian Gulf Iranian Fishermen’s Unemployment
The main policy of the “Iranian Fisheries Organization” in the recent years is to make restrict for the overfishing while, only in Khuzestan province the alien fishing ships has reached to the 5000.
The Iranian Fisheries Organization initially has denied the fishing of Trawl or Trawling but, Mr. Mohammad ali Hasanzadeh deputy of Seaport and Economic Affairs of the Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran says: Chinese ships have a long term contract to fishing at at a depth of 2000 meters in the waters of Iran and sea of Oman and Mohammad Javd Zarif the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran says: At the sea of Oman the Chinese fishermen have permission for fishing and use the water living creatures. But, the Iranian Fishermen’s which are fishing in Persian Gulf and sea of Oman are screaming; They are giving our rights to the foreigners
, and hard rules are for us not for foreign fishing vessels
The Iran Fisheries Organization due to the overfishing has create lot of barriers for the native fishermen. The officials of the organization because of the atmospheric and weather conditions has prevent fishermen from fishing. But, the foreigners fishing boats even near to the coast of Iran are fishing and trawling.
There are many problems and difficulties for Iranian fishermen to have least income and all these it’s due to the Iranian regime malicious policies and giving secret privileges to the foreigners and plunder of water, soil and even the sea floor of Iran. The Iranian fishermen in south has protested many times against all malicious policies which are increasing poverty and unemployment amongst them but till today the Iranian Fisheries Organization did not pay attention to their demand.
The heavy and irreparable damage to the environment of Iran is due to the Iranian Fisheries Organization has given Persian Gulf as a rent to the other countries and the violent encounters of Chinese with indigenous fishermen which they are fishing with their small boat and the advanced equipment of Chinese fishermen and their harsh encounter of them which sometimes firing gun to the Iranian fishermen or in many cases by keeping the high pressure of water of the hose’s ship to the Iranian fishermen and forcing them to leave the area and these are all the barriers for indigenous fishermen at the time of fishing.
The Iranian fishermen are facing another problem which is the Iranian Fisheries Organization is not issuing the license for them to fishing but in another side the Chinese fishermen daily with their advanced equipment ships are busy with fishing in Persian Gulf and the industrial net which they are using can easily catching the aquatics from sea and all this activities is completely destruction of the Ecosystem.
Illegal fishing practices, restrictions on Iranian fishermen and freedom of action for Chinese fishermen, reduction of indigenous fishermen earnings and unemployment caused by the sale of southern waters and irreparable damage to the environment are the least damage to the southern regions of the country.
According to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights;
Article 8: Everyone has the right to an effective remedy by the competent national tribunals for acts violating the fundamental rights granted him by the constitution or by law.
Article 17:
1.Everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others.
- No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property.
Article 28: Everyone is entitled to a social and international order in which the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration can be fully realized.
Article 29: 1. Everyone has duties to the community in which alone the free and full development of his personality is possible.
In the article 28 of the constitution of Iran is mentioned: The government is obligated to create jobs on equal conditions and according to the requirements of people in society make various jobs. Clause 9 of article 30 of constitution of Iran: Eliminating the discrimination and creating
the equal opportunities for all in all materially and spiritually fields and Clause 13: Providing self-sufficiency in the sciences and industry techniques, agriculture and military affairs and such as.
We condemn all the activities of the Regime of Islamic Republic of Iran authorities to convey the secret privileges to the Chinese ships and fisherman in southern waters of Iran and demanding to immediate cessation and recapture of southern waters of country.
