1346 Statement of the Defense of Human Rights Association in Iran-Difficult Situation of Political and Religious Prisoners

Continuous and innocence fight of the Political and religious prisoners in Iran Prisons with:

Covid 19, Hepatitis C, AIDS or HIV virus, addiction to narcotics, suicide, obstructiveness of the judiciary and authorities to provide the medical services, lack of separation of political and religious prisoners from dangerous or addicted ones, …. . Based on a report, which has been published by the Amnesty International, this human rights organization, expressed concern over the secrecy of the Islamic Republic of Iran and announced that: since the outbreak of the Corona Virus, the judicial authorities of Iran hide the dangerous and inhumane situation of prisoners, and they had gave the false information about their condition. In spite of the fact that each official in the prison department separately, has requested from the Ministry of Health, the necessary required facilities for the prevention, but they did not answer.

We are saying: officials and authorities of Islamic Republic, from top to bottom, “are just talking“.

Asghar Jahangiri, vice president of Islamic Republic of Iran, announced the statistics of Hepatitis and AIDS, but he did not mention the prisons who are suffering from the Corona Virus, like: at least 20 prisoners have died in the different cities because of the Corona Virus and or based on the latest news, 45 Sunni prisoner of Rajaei Shahr prison have been infected to the Corona Virus. People like: Narges Mohammadi, Esmaeil Abdi, Jafar Azim Zadeh, Amirsalar Davoudi, Majid Azari, Fereydoun Ahmadi, Saeid Sharifi, Mohammadali Mosayeb Zade, Zeynab Jalalian and ….

Secrecy and violated human rights of prisoners, especially political and religious prisoners by the juridical officials is undeniable, which not only, are executing systematically and Continuously, but also are against the international laws, the constitution, civil law and 2, 3, 5 articles of Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 3rd goal of UNESCO`s 2030 Agenda. We demand the unconditional liberation of political and religious prisoners, and we require to take more attention to their status by the global community and all the democratic governments.
