June 20, Glorification of World Refugee Day Audio and Video Clip

On December 4, 2000, at the United Nations General Assembly, it had been decided that, June 20 of every year should be glorify as World Refugee Day. Yearly, many people leave their countries and taking refuge to other safe countries and experiencing the homelessness, as the consequence of domestic conflicts, war, violence, insecurity, injustice, and prosecuting of people.

At the present time, over than 50 million people are displacing around the world. Therefore, Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees 1951, approved by the United Nations for purpose of meet the needs of refugees. also United Nations has mentioned the right to choose a place of residence at the 13th article and the right to asylum at the 14th article of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights. the most important goal of this organization is to address the problems of refugees without distinction of race, color, sex, religion, political opinions.

We, human rights activists, are hoping for a peaceful world, which all of the concerns of countries and governments are providing a better citizenship services and protection of human resources.
