According to official and human rights reports, more than 230 children and teenagers have been killed during protests in recent years.

Although official statistics published by the Islamic Republic differ significantly from reports issued by independent human rights organizations and media outlets, there is substantial evidence of systematic violence, suppression of freedom of expression, internet shutdowns, arbitrary arrests, and denial of fair trial rights.

The continued suppression of peaceful protests has raised serious concerns regarding violations of human rights and fundamental freedoms in Iran.
