The importance of the wetlands are for saving the water, protecting us in the time of flood and reducing the impact of that, protect our shores from waves, absorb pollutants, improve water quality, and provide habitat for animals and plants.<br \/>\nOut of 42 specified wetlands in the world Ramsar convention (except one type of wetland which is Tourabzar), 41 types of wetlands are found in Iran and it&#8217;s due to Iran&#8217;s wetlands diversity. Iran has 3% of the world wetlands and in total has 2800 wetlands.
