Report of the meeting of Human rights and environment in Iran-Hamburg September 2019

This meeting was held in Hamburg on 15th September 2019 on 12:15 (mid Europa time zone) with host of Iranian National Unity group (Hamburg branch) and with invitation of defense of human rights members. The meeting’s administrator, Dr. Faribourz Saremi after welcoming the guests to the Reichshof Hamburg hotel and the members in PalTalk group started the meeting.

In the first part Dr. Saremi, political manager of Iranian national unity, read a preface.

Then a documentary under the name of Girls of Enghelab street directed by Mohsen Azizi Ashtarkan, a member of defense of human rights association was displayed.

A movie that depicts the process of women’s objection against compulsory Hijab. In the next part Shabnam Rezavand, a human rights and environment activist and chief editor of human rights magazine held a lecture about desertification and anti-desertification. She talked about the problems that aroused by desertification and other consequences in some provinces in Iran like Ghazvin, Alborz, Fars, Yazd, Hamadan, South Khorasan, Neyshapour, Kashan desert and other problems and dangers that targeted people in Iran. She also presented some solutions which were illustrated by short clips and pictures and mentioned that there must be measures against it because some international organizations are worried about these problems in Iran and relevant statistics are showing a terrible consequences.This subject aroused the interest of the guests in the gathering and followed by Q&A.

After that Mr. Manochehr Shafaie, a human rights activist and founder of defense of human rights in Iran, was invited to hold a lecture about children’s future in Iran.

Mr. Shafaie’s lecture was about the situation of children and relevant laws in Iran. Children,due to their conditions in different ages, are categorized as children and adults and there is no vivid definition about the boundary of children’s age in Iran. He also mentioned some problems like education, labor children, children’s marriage, execution … and with some important statistics illustrated the relevant consequences. Because the children will grow up in the future and the effect of education will be demonstrated in later times. People in the meeting and PalTalk room asked some questions and after that a comparison was made among children in Iran and other countries like Germany and Denmark.

There was a table in this meeting with some flyers about human rights association in Iran. Mrs. Dianan Biglary fard the supervisor of Hamburg and Mrs. Sepideh Keramat presented their poem books. At the end due to the request of audience Mr. Shafaie introduced the defense of humans right association in Iran and its activities and Mr. Mehran Fazel Zade, an active member, showed some of the activities of the association in their web site.

What must we do to save Iran? To answer this question Dr. Saremi answered that at first groups and civil organizations must be reunited. And these units should make branches in every city and also should try to make a unit as a center of resistance in Iran. At the end Dr. Saremi thanked the audience and the meeting was ended at 16:00 o’clock.
