According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Atena Daemi was transferred to Sadeghiyeh hospital, following the exacerbation of her hormonal problems and by the recommendation of prison physician, on Saturday July 4.

Ms. Daemi required blood examination and that is the reason of her transfer to the hospital. A close source to Ms. Daemi described her mental condition very good despite her physical condition.

Need to be reminded, Amnesty International in a statement has called for the release of Atena Daemi, and asked for providing medical treatment and to respect the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and to recognize the rights of freedom of thought and freedom of speech.

Atena Daemi, 27, was arrested on October 21, 2014 and was under 57 days interrogation in solitary confinement. She has been sentenced to 14 years in prison on charges of propaganda against the regime, collusion against the national security and insulting the supreme leader, for her peaceful civil rights activities. Her trial along with three others activist was held in branch 28 of the revolutionary court with chief judge Moghiseh, in which they were sentenced to total of 38 years in prison.

According to a legal adviser of HRANA, the court order of her verdict contains weird legal mistakes, and in case of a correct legal process she would have a great chance in appeal court.

Cyber activities, posting critical subjects in Facebook and twitter regarding the condition of executions and human rights in Iran, sympathy with families of political prisoners and families of prisoners on death row, attending the protest in solidarity with Kobani, sympathy with the families of victims of 2009 presidential elections and having contact with human rights activists, were the evidences that sentence was issued based on them.

Atena Daemi is currently detained in women’s ward of Evin, in her 9th months of temporary arrest and waiting for the verdict of the appeal court.
